Ideas for Venison? Possibly with pasta

Have a couple of lovely venison steaks. Was just going to fry them up and serve with mash and veggies, but fancy trying something a bit more adventurous with them.

Not very great with rice dishes, so thought maybe a pasta one.

Any one have any (not to complicated) recipes?

My grandma used to make venison lasagna.

Or maybe cut them into strips and do a creamy alfredo sauce.

Thanks MKG.

I'd keep them as steaks but do something posh with the potatoes like gratin or dauphinoise and then make a really rich sauce to go with the steaks.

I like OYBBK's suggestion. Or how about with chips and bearnaise sauce?

This recipe is fantastic. It's great with pasta and a green salad.

Hunger maybe a sign you're on the mend? Hope so!

Well told Dh I was going to make him a special meal tonight as we never normally bother with valentines...and he said he'd planned to buy me a takeaway tonight so I didn't have to cook.

Venison will keep till tomorrow night! Think I may do that venison and red wine recipe thank MrsM.
