My DH saw some wholemeal flour on offer and bought me two packets. I have never used it before - anyone got any recipes. I don't have a breadmaker. Thank you in anticipation.

Wholemeal flour makes a nice, nutty pastry for savoury things like quiches, pies and pasties. Or you could use it to make a moist fruit cake?

Molesworth - Do you just use the normal recipes and change the flour to Wholemeal - sorry if that is a silly question. Thanks for your reply.

tbh I haven't used wholemeal flour for years! But I used to use it for everything when I was going through my Cranks phase. I think you can just use it as you would white flour, but as Concepta says, it wouldn't be suitable for certain things like Victoria sponge. Or pasta!

doh

I meant "as SingingBear says"!

Thank you everyone. I will make some wholemeal pastry and have a quiche next week - we haven't had one for some time.
