I found alot of the recipes bland but I suppose the dinner lady can't put in any seasoning because of the silly rules.

I think some of the recipes would benefit from a bit of seasoning or some herbs/spices.

Also tried the date slice and it wasn't a success - probably something I did wrong

I regularly make the gingerbread.

Haven't done many of the main courses though - oh, but the chicken nuggets are good

bigTillyMint · 13/02/2009 17:54

Do you mean Nora?

DH / DC have done pea and bacon risotto (yum), fruit crumble(yum), fruity flapjacks - mixed the chopped up dates in (yum), zingy lemon biscuits, Sunday roast, big fish pie, lasagne, all yum!

We make pizza quite often too.

If DH can do it, anyone can

dont do the chocolate muffins. Did them once and never again... they looked lovely but were stodgy, really filling and did NOT taste nice OR chocolately... have written a note in my book, do NOT make these! lol

they are positively not nice!

I agree they arnte necessarily especially tastey

i did the sizzling sausages last week... it was VERY nice but i did add some ketchup and tom puree in at the end, and i think that made it very tasty!

we also like cowboy casserole!

I make the pork meatballs about once every two weeks, it's one of the few things everyone in the family will eat.

Pasta,peas and bacon,
sizzling sausage,
cowboy casserole,
moussaka,
pork meatballs with spaghetti,
shepherds pie
fish cakes - quite often use salmon for these

  • both dc like all these. Her recipes do seem to work well for children as one of mine is a fussy eater.I use her second book as well.

Never done any of the desserts/cakes.

yes pasta peas and bacon is another yummy one we like!
