to go with my Las Vegas themed wedding.

Now all I have to do is think about design & whether I could make it myself

Anyone any suggestions or design ideas before I get the lo's colouring book and crayons out tonight? I'm not very good at drawing but thought I could have a go at least

Ta

Ooh I remember the wedding cake or Groom's cake in Steel Magnolias. it was made by Shirley Maclean's character and was in the shape of an armadillo and was red inside. it was an american red velvet cake. Perhaps not quite what you were looking for?

Errrr - you do realise that the colouring will turn your poo a funny colour don't you? Do you WANT to go on honeymoon with funny coloured poo ?

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 13/02/2009 16:32

what about this (gets around to poo issue)

Northernlurker · 13/02/2009 16:32

not sure gambling is the best theme to apply to weddings personally

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 13/02/2009 16:50

no Plum just a quick google search - but they aren't very complicated designs - it is more the time you need to do it

lucysmam · 13/02/2009 16:58

PMSL@ funny coloured poo. Thanks for that!! I still want a black & red cake anyway, we'll both have funny coloured poo together

Greyskull, what did you search under? I've tried pictures of black & red wedding cakes, black & red cakes, Las Vegas wedding cakes but nothing useful ever comes up

Northern . . . it's only going to be a small wedding for family, more of a Las Vegas themed party afterwards fo both our friends

Lucys mam I really did just put in black & red wedding cake

I then searched under roulette wedding cakes

lucysmam · 13/02/2009 17:00

Maybe something like the first one, it's more the glamour type thing I'm after & some entertainment in the form of a band & couple of game tables with fake money

maybe I ought to look further on than first 2 pages that come up in that case, I always get bored when nothing good comes up on the first couple of pages!

Lucysmam, I think I have seen a thread with you on about a birthday cake a while ago..

Did you do one with sugar paste?

lucysmam · 13/02/2009 17:05

yeah, I did Noah's Ark for my lo's second birthday. Am making a playboy bunny next week for sil's birthday.

The animals were a bit hit & miss (zebra that looked like a cow & pigs people thought were hippos ) but I enjoyed it so thought I would get some practise & see how I get on

Thanks Plum, I love that black and white design, the decoration doesn't look too difficult for me either.

Any ideas on sizes of cake needed/how to stack etc?
