Had a row with DP last night and we are now waging the cold war...I hate it and although not my fault am going to make up as the weekend will be horrid if this goes on!

So I want to cook a lovely dinner...but all the things I would normally spoil him with are off the menu as I am pg!

So what do we think for a nice meal.... 3 courses of "I love you really darling food"

TIA

Oh and before anyone says - I am still cross enough not to want to cook one meal for him and another for me due to pg food restrictions!

I would normally get oysters, followed by a rare steak and the choc mousse or smelly cheese....

That is why help is needed!!

nothing wrong with rare steak if you trust the shop you got it from

How about something that is a bit messy and fun to eat, like fajitas?

I know it's not posh, but it's fun, and it's the first thing DP cooked for me.

some of those 'filthy' valentine biscuits from the other thread?

bellavita · 13/02/2009 15:19

How about

Leek and potato soup
beef wellington
pavlova

can all be prepared!

bellavita · 13/02/2009 15:20

pre-prepared I meant

We had fajitas last week...were nice... maybe!

Leek and Pot soup he gets regularly, so need a fancier starter but beef wellington sounds great.

I wanted to do it tonight so its a bit late to make a pav...

Does anyone have a recipe for a Masterchef stylie chocolate fondant?

That pudding looks nice - I think I might give it a go! Love the idea that you can freeze them before cooking.
