Chicken - how long...

Ladies, a quick question. I cooked a chicken dish last night. Do you think it will be ok to re-heat for Saturday lunch? Or do I need to freeze it? Also, how long do you think I need to re-heat it for in the oven? Or is the microwave better?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am a bit wary of getting it wrong and poisoning us all

personally I would freeze it (sl;ows any bacteria growth right down).. defrost completley.. and re heat until piping hot all the way through.. either in mirco or oven.

Did you cool it down quickly or leave it sitting on the side? I would think that would be fine - would certainly serve it to me and dh without freezing, but would make sure it's very very hot all the way through. I'd probably go for the microwave - depends what it is though. Timings depend on consistency, size, dish etc.

Hi there, thanks for the replies. It was cooked by 9.30 and so I left it on the side covered, overnight, as was too hot to put in the fridge. Put it in the fridge this am. It's chicken and broccoli bake type thing.
