How do I make sweet potato wedges?

I'm guessing - peel, cut into wedge shape pieces. Drizzle with olive oil and roast.

How long do I roast for, at what temp and what do I add to make them taste even better?

yes like that. not sure, about half an hour at gas mk 5.

i think sp baked in jacket is nicer though, gets a sort of smoky flavour whereas the wedges are a bit floppy.

I cut into wedges (don't bother peel), parboil a few minutes, some groundnut oil (olive oil has too much of a taste imo), sprinkle with some fajitas spice mix..
roast on hot - i blast them at about 220

cut into wedges, don't peel, put in a bowl and stir in groundnut oil, salt, pepper, I make a seperate lot with chilli flakes on for myself - and roast.

timbuktu - do you parboil or not and what temp do you roast on?

i find if i don't parboil then they get burnt but still not totally soft inside - maybe i am doing it at too high a temp?

KristinaM · 13/02/2009 14:32

garlic salt

i don't par boil then either. i do them in the roasting oven of the aga, so no exact temperature but i would guess around 230

No I don't par boil, they go into a hot oven of 200 and then I turn it down to about 170/80.
