What can I make with pork loin steaks?

I've got some in the fridge now and I just can't think of what to make. I don't feel like curry and I've got no spuds so can't make a quick casserole or anything. Any ideas please?

have you got any fresh cream or creme frais (SP)and mushrooms you could make a lovely sauce to go with it... cut into strips on a bed of rice...

Bugger, I've got mushrooms but no cream That sounds really nice too. I'll put it on my list to make next time though, thanks

I used pork steaks to make sweet and sour yesterday and tonight I'll make a stir fry using up all the veggie bits in the fridge.

Did you use a ready made sweet and sour sauce or make your own LSAO? I haven't got a jar but do have a lot of base ingredients.

got any apples?
Sautee apples in butter with sprinkle of sugar til caramlised.

Pan fry the pork and add sliced mushrooms. You can make a perfectly acceptable 'fake' cream sauce with a veg stockcube, cornflour and spaslh of milk, dash of wourceshire sauce and splash of soy sauce.. Serve with the apple and some green veg.

Yes I had a sachet of sweet and sour but added loads of veggies too so it was quite dilute - my kids don't like it too sticky. The stir fry I'll just use ginger, garlic and soy sauce to flavour. I think pork and soy go really nicely together.

nigella does a nice pork chops recipe with gnocchi in a grain mustard sauce, my new fave.

or if you happen to have italian oxo cubes they also make a lovely cream sauce to go with pork loin steaks (& when i have no cream i use milk & thicken like molllyroger says).

I cut it into strips, make a makeshift satay-ish marinade of peanut butter, soy, ketchup, balsamic vinegar, honey, ginger, then stir-fry slowly, with all the marinade tipped in as sauce, and serve with rice or egg noodles and stir-fry veg, or salad.

Finely slice apples and onions, and saute gently until starting to caramelise. Put the chops on this bed of apple and onion in an oven dish, cover with foil and bake.

If you have a sachet of instant stuffing, make up stuffing balls and put them on top of the chops before baking.

They take about 40 minutes in a medium-hot oven.

Thanks for all your ideas Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to look before starting tea as I was running late. I made ginger and garlic pork with a rainbow rice type thing. It was nice enough I'm going to put all yours to the test too

The ginger and garlic pork sounds yummy too - what is the recipe please, and how do you do rainbow rice?

Thank-you.
