where do you keep yours?

always kept in fridge, but now have smaller fridge and less room. Do they keep for as long if left out in the kitchen? I know you are supposed to keep at room temp. before cooking but not sure about longer term?

I always keep in fridge but my MIL keeps her in her cupboard with no ill effects. Not sure how long she has hers in there for, though, sorry!

I have always kept mine in a cupboard with no ill effect.

I think as long as the cupboard is coolish and they are used before use-by-date they are fine

No - on working top. They're not refridgerated in shops are they, so use by date is based on them being at room temperature.

I keep mine in the fridge but my mum always kept hers in a bowl on the worktop.

I've never kept them in a fridge, if you think about it they naturally keep for ages while the hen is busy laying another 10 or so ready to sit on the lot as they usually go broody on a big pile.

no on the worktop. They are not found in the fridge at Tesco when I buy them, they are in a pallet so I keep mine on a worksurface
