Shameful I know but I have got to the age of 33 and never done a joint of roast beef. Any tips on how to keep it juicy and pink would be greatly appreciaited.

Try this

Don't try and roast silverside or topside
they are not for roasting and will be tough

Get a rib

I used Delia's method last time and it was cooked to perfection.

Thanks for your advice evryone. I got a joint from the supermarket; it says it's suitable for roasting but it's topside ??? I think I'll try braising it X

yes I would
they always say that but you try roasting it and it will be like shoe leather
For future ref go to the butcher - the meat will be much better (if it is a good butcher!)
