Anyone made Jamie's Beef & Ale stew??

Mine is an hour into cooking, and the ale taste is still very strong.

Is this likely to fad after 2 hours?

No, but I quite often do beef in a dark ale and its lovely after the 3 hours I cook it for. Got a link to Jamies so we know what else is in there?

Made it for the first time last week - the ale taste does go after the 3 hours, but the stew is very rich.

oh good! I am feeding 5 childminding children with it too, so was a bit worried the ale taste!
