Would it be ok to just substitute plain flour for sr in a recipe?

I'm sure it wouldn't be too disastrous, would it?

If you have any baking powder, you add 4tsp of baking powder per 8oz of plain flour and it becomes SR flour.

The recipe says plain flour. I only have SR.
