thisisyesterday, the state mhy laptop's in I'm lucky to be able to get on mumsnet at the mo, my oh installed a toolbar called 'desktop smiley' & now it won't use anything but that to search. & it doesn't bring anything up that's any use unfortunately

It does make a big difference- did a watery cake for fish-mad ds2 last week and turquoise glitter flakes over the top really made the difference.

My cookies sprinkled with this were the talk of my son's class christmas party.

The clear glitter flakes are fabulous- if you're doing a snowy iced christmas cake in royal icing, a hefty dose of them gives it a marvellous glassy finish, like real ice.

I keep meaning to get some. I want glitter rather than the lustre stuff. That's really hard to apply.

The lustre is sparkly like the glitter but's a very fine powder, more like icing sugar really.

It's quite hard to apply to icing. I sprinkle it on and then dust it a bit with a brush. The glitter that I've seen on cakes is more like actual glitter, much larger flecks.

More shiny I'd say. Metallic.
