What type of curry paste have you got? They usually give ideas for a recipe on the jar.

Usually you stick a couple of tablespoons of paste in with your onions, meat, peppers, etc as you fry them, then bung in a tin of tomatoes.

Or coconut milk sometimes if it's more of a Thai one.

cook it for a bit and then add your meat/veg. a tin of tomatoes too if you want a sauce.
if doing a red/yellow thai curry then add a tin of coconut milk.

Fry onions in some oil, add curry paste and meat. Coat meat then add vege and tin of tomatoes, yoghurt or coconut milk.

Simmer until cooked

i've just checked a jar in my fridge, its says tsp per person.
but i usually use about a normal spoon size per person.
