I've made pork casserole but didn't think when adding a glass of dh's fizzy cider. Now every time I take the casserole out to stir it's all foamy (obviously the yeast).

Is it alright to eat? I also need to leave it for a couple of hours in the oven as I've to visit dh in hospital?? Or will I come back to a pork casserole explosion in my oven??

It will be fine explosion-wise and the yeast won't hurt (not sure that's what it is though - recipes often call for ale/beer and that's fine).

As long as it tastes OK (have a little taste if it's good and hot) I wouldn't worry at all

Brilliant. You have saved my bacon - and dinner. Thank you.

I often add cider to pork casseroles and they have never gone foamy. Are you sure that there's not a trace of washing up liquid in the dish?

Hope your DH is okay trixie.
