Idea for good recipes that 2 year old dd can "help" with

We have made gingerbread men and cup cakes so far but it would be nice to broaden the repertoire - particularly with savoury things as don't want her eating too many biscuits.

Any suggestions/recipes for things she can help make i.e with stages like mixing/rolling/decorating she can do sitting in her high chair at the kitchen table?

I had a great book of recipe's for when my 2 were young. Will dig it out and have a look for you.

Sorry toomuchtv, forgot to come back

Ok, what about french toast- she can help dip the bread in the egg.

Cheese on toast- if you use cheddar and a red cheese she can make it stripy.

Pizza. You can arrange the cheese/ mushrooms/ ham etc into face shapes that she may like doing herself.

this is one the books we have and this one too

Cheese scones would be good

Soup - could help with the chopping etc. and could then help you with blending it at the end.

Potato cakes with tinned fish or cooked veg? She could mash/stir it all together.

Thanks for the suggestions - we made cheese scones last night and she enjoyed mixing the dough (although I had to do the rubbing butter into flour bit) and the rolling/cutting out bit. Not old enough for chopping veg yet!

Pizza, definitely!

Fairy cakes (even the packet mix ones)

Simple sweet stuff - like rice crispy/cornflake cakes or rocky road?

Get a pack of ready rolled pastry and make mini pasties with cheese , ham - whatever.
Make shapes with the rest.
Pizza is a fave of ours. Muffins , all kinds of biscuits She makes balls / cubes and then we stack them up with icing or jam .
Sausage rolls ( again we cheat on the pastry)
Lasagne she helps layer things and breaks the pasta.
WHen I do a apple upsideown cake she places teh apples on teh base ( and eats them ) and then helps make teh mix and then pours / stirs.
I tend whan cake making to have everything weighed out in advance as leav her alone with the flour whilst I am weighing out something else = disaster !!
