Cake makers - can you buy those cake plaque things for the top of birthday cakes?

As I am getting totally fed up spending £8 on a chocolate cake that is £8 as it has a Toy Story picture stuck to the top.

I would rather bake a cake myself then stick the picture onto it IYSWIM. I don't think I could do the different shapes/coloured icing thing but could manage a hunble sponge or chocolate sponge.

The DDs always ask for Disney Princess/Monsters Inc/Toy Story cakes though, they are such a rip off

I saw some in Hobbycraft a couple of days ago but I think they were just 'Happy Birthday' sort of things not pictures. I didn't look closely as thats not DDs sort of thing (we will have chocolate cake - I made a pair last weekend) sandwiched and coated in real choc fudge icing (easiest thing in the world, melted plain choc with 1tbsp cream stirred in for each 150 grams). Then it will have jelly diamonds and flowers (Supercook tubs) encrusted on it by DD - same as for the last few years. It may not look professional and doesn't have the blessing of Disney , but it tastes sooo much better than the bought ones with buttercream and white icing.(blech)

If you can't find a plaque, maybe your DDs would go for something like that?
