Cucumber...

Since when was a cucumber £1.28!!!!!!
Just doing the online grocery shop and totally .
Would you pay that for a cucumber and if not, where else to go?

My kids LOVE cucumber!

I'm just not buying them while they're so expensive - it's cause they're out of season. I used to go to the market for my veg - usually a bit cheaper if you can get to one.

Tesco per chance? I saw that at the weekend and posted about it. They weren't even that great either, thin and weedy!!

I remember now seeing 2 for £1 in our local Asian supermarket, they were okay for chopping up into a yoghurt dip but not really great for slicing up for the kids or putting into salad.

Will probably do as others have done and just leave it a while....£1.28!!! [shakes head and feels old]
