Food throwing toddler!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone out there got any advice on coping with a toddler who eats 2 mouthfuls then throws the rest of his food across the room? My DS is 2 next month and although he is actually a good eater in that he will eat a lot of the food I serve up, he cant resist throwing it about. I try to stop him before he does it and take the food away before offering it again this works sometimes, but the only thing he never throws is fruit. I know I shouldnt complain about that cos its great that fruit is his favourite food but he cant eat only fruit and not much else obviously. I spose he'll out grow it but just need some support and to know my toddler is not alone in throwing his food everywhere. It upsets me cos I like to take him to eat out but I just cant at the moment!

DS (17 months) is exactly the same except he barely eats anything.
I have calculated that the speed and velocity at which a food is thrown is exactly proportionate to the amount of effort that went into preparing it. Fruit takes no prep, therefore is generally not thrown.
My advice is to duck.
Will wait for someone else to come along with more helpful advice.

ime the only thing you can do is ignore, ignore, ignore.

I learnt this the hard way. I got really shouty. DD threw more food. I got really stressed. Eventually gritted teeth and ignored it. It went away.

Everything is a phase. (repeat til you feel better)
