What can I do with these figs?

I have tidied out my cupboards tonight and found some Taste the Difference figs that i bought for a recipe that I now have no memory of at all. I don't think i even like figs!!

Any ideas please of what I can do with them? Something where the figs themselves are disguised a bit please

TIA

fig and walnut bread?

mckenzie · 25/01/2009 21:57

thanks cyteen but do you think it will work without the honey? I cannot stand honey!! Even in tiny amounts.

Haven't got round to making it myself yet but I don't see why you couldn't leave it out, or substitute with a light brown sugar or something

Mind you, I'm not exactly a baking expert so don't rely on me!

I've looked at the recipe again cyteen and decided that I'm going to pass on the bread idea but thank you very much for suggesting it - I'm trying to use up what is in the cupboard (before it all goes past it's use by date) and the bread recipe would entail me adding to my cupboard quite a bit instead

mmm just eat them. yummy!

but I don't actually like them thisisyesterday. So i need to disguise them in some dish of some sort. I'm off to hunt through my books again to see if I can remember the recipe.

chop them up and add to flapjack/cake?

mckenzie · 25/01/2009 22:24

any old flapjack recipe then? i was going to try a new one with berries (as I also have some dried berries in the cupboard ). Shall I just swap some berries for figs or will that mixture not work do you think?
