DD1 will almost anything (Minimal meat) but dd2 is completely different, she is quite picky with certain textures, i would like to cook in bulk and freeze but I'm at a loss what to do (I have done shepherds pie for dh and i, veggie lasagne for dd1 etc)

She loves

Meat and veg (except cooked potato)

Doesn't like:

Cream sauces, tomato sauces, fish, mashed, boiled or roasted potoatoes.

Doesn't like soups

Helllllllllllllllllllp lol

does she like fish in fish pie?

Lovemyshoes · 24/01/2009 15:11

Nope, won't eat fish pie, because of both fish and the sauce.

You can't freeze this, but it is a really quick tea - rice pilaf, my boys love it.

Whilst your rice is cooking in the microwave or on the gas, dice up some pepper, courgette, mushrooms, onion and fry off until softened (I also add some frozen peas). Put onto a plate and keep to one side.

Use a pot of chicken livers - rinse, chop up and fry off (will literally take a few minutes), add veg mixture. By this time, the rice will be cooked, add the rice to the veg and chicken livers, mix in and then serve.

Well I suppose you could freeze it, but you would have to make sure that it is well heated through because of the rice.

Lovemyshoes · 24/01/2009 15:26

I'll make that for me, but, dd2 wouldn't eat it because of the livers, courgettes, onions and pepper.

She seems to live off raw veg, fruit, omelettes, yorkshire puddings, toad in the hole and chicken

Boy you have your work cut out for you .

You could change the chicken livers for shredded chicken and use any chopped up veg you like really - so can be adapted.

Ivykaty44 · 24/01/2009 15:36

Ok - does she like other vegtables mashed?

Cous cous?

Ham egg and chips

Pasta and pest - pesto isn't a creamy sauce so thought this may be ok and it is store cuboard food that takes ten minutes to wizz tigether with some cherry tomaot and sweetcorn. Put cooked chicken in it aswell?

You say she doesn't like cooked potato - is there any type of potato she will eat? (a chef once told me there are 365 ways to cook potato!!)

Will she eat spag bog?

Yorkshire pudding and vegtables with gravy was my dd's fav for a long time - I would add a veggy sausage.

Ivykaty44 · 24/01/2009 15:37

re heating the rice isn't the problem it is how rice is cooled as to whether it makes you sick/food poisoning.

Lovemyshoes · 24/01/2009 17:12

I know, I certainly do have my work cut out,she would eat home made bread and omelettes every day lol.

She likes lime and coriander cous cous, but, I'm at a loss what to give her with her.

Ham, chips, peas and carrots etc are her fave.

The only way she will eat potato is either raw or chipped.

She won't touch spag bol because of the sauce (i love this, but not working cooking just for me)

I may try the one and switch chicken livers, bellavita.

Thank you all, but keep em coming lol (she takes after her daddy for fussy eating)

Ok so she likes chips, have you tryed sauted pototo? Cut the potato small cubed and then oil and put in oven - similar to chips really on the outside.

lime and coriander cous cous with chicken and sweetcorn.

What does she have with her omelette? Will she eat poached egg? Poached egg on toast with ham and cheese?
