Filo pastry desserts

I have a pack of filo pastry in the freezer which I need to use up. I also need a dessert for tomorrow night and sunday lunch

Any recipes please ? Anything goes really

You can make a kind of parcel with fruit inside. Just apple is nice, or some mixed berries.

Or use it as a pie topping again with said fruit.

Or an open tart - roll out filo pastry, arrange berries or pears or fruit of choice on top, sprinkle with sugar and bake.

If you want something more elaborate, individual Portuguese custard tarts AKA natas are delicious. The Crash Test Kitchen couple made some a while ago. Here's the link.

mmm, i'd never thought about making those portugese custard tarts, i was addicted to them as a cafe dwelling student

i'll try to add link for 'om ali' an egyptian kind of bread/ milk pudding desert that's lovely with filo
