one pot meals for a single burner/camp stove

This is for Scouts (I have volunteered to help ). The challenge is for the kids to split up into 3 teams and produce a nutritionally balanced 3 course meal.
Week 1 - we discuss, plan, shop and research.
Week 2, the Scouts each have a limited range of utensils and a burner and we have a competition to see which troup produces the best meal.

Anyone got any ideas for the main, apart from beans (not that there's anything wrong wit beans, am just looking for a little variety!) Some veggie and meat ideas appreciated. Starter can be simple salad/ crudite and dip type thing and desert probably fruit and toasted marshnallows!! Even though the kids have to come up with their own menus, I would like to have some menus to hand to inspire them

TIA

Oxo - I bought DS and DH a scouting cookbook for Christmas - meals that can be put together in a single pot or with very few utensils, in the middle of no where. I have to sort children out just now but I don't mind having a flick through it for some ideas if you like!

Thanks so much Doodle - looks fab. The cooking challenge is not for quite a few weeks yet so I'll order the book from Amazon. My kids would love it!

OK Oxo - but before you order it, let me just warn you that it's quite American so loads of stuff in it that may not appeal or the kids may not have heard of (no bad thing in my opinion) just so you know. There are other outdoor cook books which may be better.

I bought it because DH was the Scout Leader and DS and DD are now in Beavers. All mad about scouting, especially camping.

DH and the children want to use the book to practice some cooking in our garden and to give them some good ideas for camp!

You can't go wrong with mince, bag of frozen veg, tinned pots and bung in loads of ketchup. Troop fav

Book looks good, may have to order it too
