I just got a Panasonic (can't remember the model but its the top of the line one with the nut dispenser).

This week I have made spelt bread, seeded spelt bread, white dough that I made into rolls (a bit doughy for me) and tomorow I will make granary bread.

So, what shall I try next? What works well? I am used to buying "artisan" type bread and I like it really dense.

I was also wondering about the pizza dough recipe. It is not clear from the book how many people it will feed - how big the bases will be?

I recently discovred the Hovis seeded wholemeal bread flour. I used it on a 100% wholemeal setting - enriched with egg and honey and it was yummy

I have just come back to this thread. I spent the last week trying different recipes with the panasonic.

Tonight's loaf was one of my favourites. Its the oat and bran one with white flour. We had it with soup and it was just delicious. I am making another loaf overnight but using half white and half spelt flour so will see how that goes.

I almost made a really delicious olive and sundried tomato loaf when friends came round on Friday. Smelled delicious - but came out disasterous as I forgot to put the paddle in! I almost cried!

I know how that feels - I put bread on one afternoon and went out, I had forgotten to put yeast or salt in and came home to a flour and watery mess I could have cryed - lucky I had some in the freezer.
