Is my lamb ok?

I've had a leg of lamb in the fridge for a week. I'ts from a farm so no sell-by-date. I totally forgot about it. Do you think it's ok

It smells ok to me but I've ogt a stinking cold. Everyone else is out and if we're going to have it for tea I'd better start it soon.

I would think it would be fine, especially if it's not been processed at a large-scale abattoir. You'd want to cook it for a long time anyway to get the best out of it, but I would be fine about eating it. I think I would wash it before cooking it, personally.

Oh, and stick it with some garlic cloves all over- very good for stinking colds!

Thanks. I'll go for it. I'm going to do it with garlic and juniper.
