Stupid question - but how do you make chicken casserole?

I normall do it in the slow cooker but have left it a bit late, so am thinking I can do it in the oven?

Do I just bung it all in casseroel dish and put in oven like I normally do in slow cooker?

Or do I need to cook chicken first? or cook any of the veg first?

How long for in the oven?

I am a crap cook. I'd google a recipe, dash to the shops for missing ingrediants, get thoroughly pissed off in Tesco, come home and put oven chips in.

Brown the chicken first. Chuck in pot with whatever veg and stock, add tomato puree, worcestershire sauce? dash of tabasco? Anything you fancy. Am not too good at casseroles but reckon you can't go too far wrong.

I would brown the chicken first and the veg a bit too then shove it altogether in a dish with plenty of stock, sauce or gravy. On a lowish oven for about 1 hour I suppose? I usually do beef which takes longer but if you chop up your veg fairly small that should be long enough. It doesn't take much to cook chicken.

I brown the chicken pieces first and place in the casserole dish. Then do the same with the veg - onions, carrots, mushrooms, celery etc - whatever you have. I usually put some bacon rind in the pan - remember to take it out when your casserole is done!

Add everything to the casserole dish, top up with stock (a drop of sherry is good too). I usually cook in hot oven for about 20 minutes then turn it down low till everything cooked.

Yes - worcester sauce is good too. Forgot to mention that.
