Same cooking time? Potato and parsnip chips

I'm making parsnip and potato oven chips - do they take the same amount of time to cook?

And do you bother par-boiling? (In my normal chp recipe you don't)

They'll take about the same amount of time to cook, just make sure they're all roughly the same size. I wouldn't par-boil, just add a little bit of oil.

imho - (late i know) but par boil the potatoes (chips) but not the parsnips. but cool the chips off with cold water before putting in the oven. Heated pan in the oven, coat ALL in oil and season. Then whack in the oven, but make sure they are not going to stick for the first 10 mins (faff i know). Works for me, chipped swede/butternut squash is nice aswell..

Sweet potato too... I nuke 'em (microwave) to start them off and sprinkle with garlic or paprika or cyanne (sp) sea salt, black pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
