Urgent pie advice needed

I am in the middle of making a chicken and mushroom pie, but the dish I was planning on using has a big crack in it. I have found what I think is a pie tin in the cupboard - can I use that?

so long as it has deep enough sides and is big enough tehn why not?

Hmm its not that deep but it does has sloping sides; more suited to tarts maybe? Oh, all my other dishes are too big, grrr, I was sure I had another one somewhere.

I say 'my' dishes - what I actually mean is DH's (I am not a natural in the kitchen, can you tell?)
