Can DH take the leftover curry takeaway to work tomorrow to reheat in microwave for lunch?

We've just had a takeaway curry - yum - and there is quite a bit left from my portion - not been touched - still in the container. Can DH take the leftover chicken tikka masala and mushroom rice with him to work and reheat it for lunch tommorrow in the microwave?

yuk! think of his colleagues and stinky staffroom ....

Holymoly321 · 14/01/2009 20:03

That wouldn't be a problem...

erm......yes? is that the right answer?

(as long as his colleagues don't mind the smell I guess?)

would his colleagues be upset by the smell?

Holymoly321 · 14/01/2009 20:18

thanks guys - the smell wouldn't be an issue as he will be outside on site.

well actually ...

(not wanting to be the voice of doom)

you don't know how many times the meal was reheated in the takeaway.

Only reheat it yourself if you are sure that they have not reheated it.

this is of course playing it safe but you did ask.....

DevilsAdvocaat · 14/01/2009 20:30

isn't there a problem with reheating rice?
something to do with a bacteria found in rice plants?

ChopsTheDuck · 15/01/2009 10:57

I always reheat leftovers and eat them. Rice is ok to reheat providing the leftovers were cooled immediately after cooking. It can produice a bacteria which isn't possible to kill with heat otherwise. Rice is the more common culprit for food poisoning from takeouts. I've never had a problem though.
