anyone know any cereal bar recipes?

Does anyone have any recipes to make cereal bars? starting tomorrow our shopping trip isn't going to include any chocolate or oven food... only fresh fruit, veg, cereal, pasta, riceoats...etc im trying to find a recipe to make healthy cereal bars for myself containing anything healthy from fruit, oats, nuts, to yoghurt and cereal. anyone have a recipe?

1/4 cup of margarine
1/3 cup browm sugar
1 large egg
2 cups crumbles shredded wheat (large ones)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins.

combine marg & sugar then microwave on high for about 1 minute to melt the marg. Beat in the egg when cooled (about 5 mins). Add shredded wheat, walnuts and raisins. Stir well then pat into bottom of 8 inch square tin. Bake for 15-18 mins or until top is brown. Let stand for 5 minsutes before cutting into about 18 bars.

wicked cheers helsi... sounds yum. Id probably be able to think of something myself but i dont know what it is you need to use to make all the cereal and bits stick together

Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Unsweetened apple juice
1 cup Whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp Ground cloves
1 Egg
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
Grated orange rind

Recipe Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine the raisins and apple juice. Bring to a boil
and cool.

Meanwhile, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, egg and
vegetable oil together. Add the raisin mixture and blend thoroughly.
Spread the mixture into a lightly oiled 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle
on the grated orange rind.

Bake in 350 F oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool in the pan on a wire
rack and cut into bars.

1/16 recipe - 76 calories, 1 bread exchange 14 grams carbohydrate, 2
grams protein, 2 grams fat 47 mg sodium, 109 mg potassium, 17 mg
cholesterol

the raisin bars are nicer than the shredded wheat ones.

Juicy chops,

be careful of the cloves though if you do the raisin ones. too much and can tasts a bit like dentists IYKWIM.
