Can I substitute hard mozzarella for buffalo?

Can't seem to find the hard stuff anywhere and it's needed for a Roasted Vegetable Lasagne recipe.
The cheese is meant to be stirred into the sauce, as well as being used for topping.

Anyone any ideas/advice please?

I do as I don't like the hard sort. If you have a Tesco near you they sell the hard stuff as pizza mozzarella. Personally I think it's like eating rubber!
