How long does short crust pastry take to cook?

Its DD's great nans birthday tomorrow and I thought we would make her an apple and blackberry pie. It is in the oven but still doesn't look done.
I also think I should have put some milk or egg over it to give it a lovely colour but I didn't/ Do you think I can still do that or should I just remember for next time (if there is a next time)

I'd say about 30 minutes, but depends on the oven, but at about 180oC...not on too high a temperature though otherwise it goes black very quickly...sounds nice, sure she'll appreciate the effort

We gave her the pie and she absolutely loved it. I'm really pleased we did it now, she always cooks for other people and I don't think anyone has ever done that for her

I think lavender is about right - 180 degrees for around 20 - 30 minutes
