i've just been on my supermarket website and put in my shopping for the week.
tesco £69.36
asda £66.00
ocado £86.22
sainsburys £51.63
couldn't believe the difference.i normally shop at asda but i'm going to do a sainsburys shop instead.has anyone used their basic range before, what should i avoid if anything.

Sainsbury's Basics range is really good, I don't think there's anything I've tried that I'd really shy away from in future.

The beans are maybe a bit thin.

I regularly get the following:

weetabix equivalent (funny shape but otherwise fine)
fruit & fibre
mature cheddar
pizzas (which I then put a few more bits on)
bananas
kiwi fruits
tinned tomatoes (these are great)
tortilla chips 18p a bag
big pots of natural yoghurt
thin tin foil for wrapping sandwiches
cartons of longlife apple & orange juice (not the best you've ever tasted but fine for a quick glassful at breakfast)
chocolate mousse
worryingly cheap 25p a bar white chocolate and dark chocolate (the milk isn't great but the others quite nice really)

probably other things too but too tired to think now. I really like the fact they give some indication as to why they're cheaper, e.g. the fruit & fibre says 'more flakes, less fruit'

For what I buy, Sainsbury's always comes out the cheapest on mysupermarket.com
