there was a story in the DM today about how people are buying out of date foods.

we often get out of date food, mainly dry stuff like biscuits crisps etc as FIL works for a cash and carry, there are some really good deals on that website for anyone who is interested.

Why would it be a con? Did you know that most non-perishable food, i.e. soda, canned etc, wasn't even dated until a few years ago? The real con is the use by date.

I didnt know non perishables had sell by dates btw..
