Having recently moved to the US, I discover that I cannot find wholemeal bread flour in any local shops.

Can I use regular wholemeal flour? I usaully do a 50/50 mix of wholemeal & white flour. dd keeps asking me to make her favourite bread.

gotta go & help out at school, but tia for any advice.

Hi kickassangel,I'm American that moved to UK
You're typically not going to find Wholemeal bread flour in the regular store go to the local health foods shop or organic foods shop. You'll find it there (if you don't live in too small of a town to have such a shop). Sometime you can also pick it up at the local farmer's market, though most are not running during the late fall and winter months if you're in the north- it's just too cold brrr.
I do know that Mom used to make whole bread with just regular wholemeal flour, it does come out a little different, softer really as I recall, but it may still work for you and your dd.
Good luck.
