Anyone tell me how to work it out please? Or a 4 egg recipe I could use?

Thank-you if you can help

4 eggs
10 oz or 285g self raising
8oz or 230g caster sugar
8oz or 230g softened butter
2tbsp or 30ml milk

chuck all in bowl, sifting flour to get air in, mixm slowly at first, until silky and then pour into tin
GM 2 for 1.5 ish hours.

thank-you Chirpy, much appreciated!

My other option was sit down with the 6 egg recipe I have, divide it all by 6 & times by 4 but I wasn't sure it would work

Fingers, toes etc all now firmly crossed

That's ok, I should mention that I happened to have been reading a cake decorating book and the laptop was sitting on it when I was mooching earlier so i have never tried it myself.....
