I normally use single or double cream when making cheesey creamy leeks. I have some sour cream to use, it says yes for cooking and I use it in muffins but will it work with leeks? TIA.

Ummm. Well, I don't know for sure, but I use soured cream for main dishes, so I can't see why not.

Yes it will work fine, it is just acidulated single cream, actually it might even be nicer.

Phew, as it is already in. I will let you know how it tastes.

To make sour cream from scratch I just add lemon juice to normal cream if that helps as to what it is!
