Ds not eating his breakfast cereal

Ok, ds 17m has always had quite a big appetite, I don't normally worry or pay much attention if he doesn't want the odd meal as he is a big boy and it seems fairly normal for him when teething, he'll eat nothing.
However, over the last few weeks I have noticed that the meal he doesn't want is his breakfast. He has cereals with some milk which I spoon feed him - it's the only meal I help him with. We have 3 boxes of cereals so he dioesn't have the same one every day but won't let me put spoon near him, so I have been draining milk and emptying bowl onto his highchair tray, he'll eat more like that but not enough for my liking so I end up giving him a tub of dry cereal to pick at through the morning - this has not affected how much he has for lunch btw.
I've also tried leaving him for half hour or so after he gets up so e's not fed straight away. Not sure what else to do really, he won't eat 'wet' food, so porridgy things are out, he doesn't like bread/toast, and isn't keen on eggs.

Fruit! Give him a banana.

DS loves cereal.

DD doesn't. She has a different piece of fruit instead and maybe a yogurt.

Thanx Doodle, why didn't I think of that? He has a yoghurt with his breakfast anyway.
A while ago we had this issue with lunch so I was giving him a fruit salad then.
Will give tha a go tomorrow and he can have a bit of dry cereal or other snack mid morning.

Hi Sazzles, yeah ds seems to be better with anything coming from anyone else. Strange isn't it? I was thinking it might be the milk as he's never been a huge fan of it, by 9 months was only having 7oz before bed, but now if I want him to actually drink it, I have to flavour it with nesquick or something. I might also switch to semi-skimmed, full fat is gross......
