17 month old has to be fair just had a cough/cold but has had that before and not affected his eating

now chews but spits out all food and ends up eating nothing except back to soft jar food rather than home cooked meals

why would he stop chewing/swallowing?

is it a fad or should i worry

try soft home made rather than jars maybe. My nearly 2 year old is full of cold at the mo & is doing exactly the same thing, she's existing on sausage meat taken out of the skin, mash with gravy, yogurts, tuna and soft fruit that she can suck. I think it has something to do with the fact that you struggle to chew when bunged up maybe so softer foods are easier for babies to deal with as they spend less time with their mouths closed chewing
