Cake?? As in seed cake?

NAB3lovelychildren · 03/01/2009 14:56

I have made muffins with them and they were gorgeous.

I stick them in dumplings and love the flavour.

Incidentally, what do caraway seeds smell/taste like? Is there anything that you can compare them with?

LittleBella · 03/01/2009 15:02

Goulash.

Beef, paprika, mustard, flour, carawy seed.

Chuck em all in pot with onions, garlic. Then tomatoes and puree, beef stock, rosemary and afterwards mushroom. You can also have green and red peppers if you like. Serve with rice/ potatoes and sour cream. Cheap especially if you use stewing steak.

Also I add them to baked beans with mushrooms. Heat the mushrooms and caraway seeds in a saucepan with baked beans and have on toast or with baked potatoes.
