Personal Chef - recommendations please

I'm so tired of my cooking, my family is as tolerant as can be, but really its such a drag to cook all the time (I hate it actually). For a treat for my birthday next month I want to hire a personal chef for a day to cook up a storm in my kitchen (while I watch from the sidelines with a glass of wine in hand) for a family meal with loads of leftovers. Any suggestions where I can find a family friendly and good chef?

I am not sure a personal chef would want to make something with leftovers tbh.

i thought she meant a family meal with lots of left overs for her to cook with later?

NAB3lovelychildren · 03/01/2009 10:13

Quite possibly.

I definitely think she means that - maybe so they can freeze some of it or have it the next day too.

There is a chap round here called the Bald Chef - you could google him but it depends on whether you're in London.

Im a personal chef, sit back, relax and let me take care of all the shopping, cooking and cleaning up afterwards:)

I have recently used a personal chef for my biirthday. MY DH booked it for me. So lucky to have this man in my life.
the food from Dine In Dulge was out of this world. I cannot tell you how much i recommend this company.

The starter was a calamari and chorizo starter oh my god, this thing was incredible. One of the best dishes i have ever had, followed by steak. just mouthwatering.

Anyway rambling but you guys have to give it ago. Best bit was i didn't have to book a babysitter for us all to go out. Little DD was asleep in the other room while we got stuck into a memorable night with family and friends. Best bit was that the wine was excellent and didn't have to pay restaurant prices and no corkage. :)

hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion Jenny, just checked them out. Never would have thought of this as an idea and their menus look delicious but going to need to speak with the DH first... Hmm
