My instinct tells me I can cook a lovely meal using them, but i have no idea what! Any ideas?

DP says, have you got white wine?

fleacircus · 29/12/2008 19:58

If so...

Fry the chicken breasts in butter and put them in a low oven to keep warm. Do the same with the sausages. Deglaze the pan with the wine (a sweeter wine is better, but it's not important) and reduce it down. Add a knob or two of butter and preferably some tarragon but you could use parsley, or any fresh herb you've got knocking about. Slice the breasts diagonally into pieces and cut the sausages up (depending on just how small they are) and then serve them with the sauce poured over. Mashed potato to go with.

flea that sounds nice

God, don't do them together!

Fried rice with breasts (might only need one) and sausage sarnies for lunch, or with potatoes, carrot and swede mash.

or you could do a sort of paella with them.

IlanaK · 29/12/2008 20:28

Oooooo.....I love paella but have no idea how to cook it. How would i make it?

authentic ones are seafood, but I've done it with sausages and chicken before and its very tasty!

Cut up chicken and sausages and brown off. Cook rice til al dente. I'd put in green peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes too, so give them a quick fry. Add some white wine, paprika (smoked if you have it), then mix in all the other ingredients. If you google Paella, I'm sure you'll get a more authentic one, but this is very tasty!

Sounds yummy, I might do that thanks.
