guide to what the finished recipe *should* look like (?)

A lot of the recipes sound fantastic, but I'm not always sure what the finished product is supposed to look like. Would it be possible to have a picture of the final result? I think it would be a great help to know what you're aiming for....

I know what you mean. I see recipes all the time I would like to make and a picture always helps. Plus if yours looks like the picture it is a real boost.

Have you tried googling the recipe and then picture?

NAB - Thanks - I meant recipes on Mumsnet - some sound very imaginative/inventive, not like your average familiar dishes....
