Has my gammon gone off? About to cook it but it smells funny.

Lovely big piece of gammon. Date on it is 15th jan. Been in the fridge nearly a week unopened.
Has a sort of cidery smell. Doesn't smell like gammon at all.
Is it off? Don't want to chance us all getting ill.

Hmm, meat can sometimes smell a bit funny though can't it. I'd eat it.

mmm would think wiht such a long date it would be ok. I would cook it and see how it smells while cooking

I would throw it away. We can't smell it.
