I have already decided on rice crispy cakes, any other suggestions gratefully recieved.

(Healthy recipes would be a big bonus)

Good idea ruby - just cut up a load of fruit and mix together?

not healthy but nigella does banana white chocolate and cherry muffins in domestic godess book. Really really easy, just a case of adding a list of ingredients into a bowl as child mixes them up ( or flicks them around the kitchen )

My ds's have been able to make them on their own since they were about 6, really nice to make them together, cos kids like mushing up bananas, and they get to eat some of the chocolate and the cherries before they go in.

Could you post the recipe if possible plesae rolereversal

here it is.

125g butter
200g castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas
4 tbsp sour cream (I just use any old cream, or even a bit of milk tbh)
2 large eggs
1 tsp bicarb of soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
300g plain flour
40g chopped, dried cherries (usually end up using more than this!)
50g white chocolate. ( 3 packets of milk chocolate buttons gives plenty of leeway for some of them not to make it into the cake )

melt the butter in a big bowl in the microwave, then add all the other ingredients in this order, mixing as you go.

dont be too thorough with the final mixing when the flour etc goes in cos muffins seem to work better if they are a bit undermixed when they go in the cases.

this is enough for 12 muffins, but if you dont have a muffin baking tin and are making ordinary sizes cakes it will still work, but will probably make double the number.

muffins take 20 mins at 180c or gas mark 4

hope it works, they are lovely

dizzydixies' white chocolate cheesecake recipe is delicious and easy. Here.

My dd loves bashing biscuits with a rolling pin, stirring mixture and putting berries on top.

forgot to say that you mash the bananas with a fork when you put them in
