Jelly help please!

I'm trying to make a sugar free trifle as my dad is coming over tomorrow and is diabetic.I've used tinned summer fruits(well drained) and have made up some sugar free jelly which I have poured over the fruit. It's been in the fridge for about 3 hours and still not set properly.Have I done something wrong or does it normally take a while to set?Just wondered if I should leave it or perhaps make up another jelly mixture with a smaller amount of water and pour it on top of the one in the fridge.
Any ideas please?
Thanks.

can depend on the fruit which you put in it.I think that kiwi and pinapple prevent it setting.Try putting it in the freezer.

If you make another jelly with less water then sort of stir it through the un-set jelly it may help - if you made the first one according to the instructions it may well take a little longer to set.

Thanks.
It says if using kiwi, pineapple or papaya it won't set,but have used strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.Think I'll make another jelly with less water and stir through the semi set one, before pouring on.Have no room in the freezer for it!

the sugar free one doesn't seem to set as well as the normal stuff so I always add less water- agree with the making more jelly and mixing it in. Good luck, I'm sure it will be yum.

The sugar free takes up to 24 hours to set I have found

Thanks-have done it now.
Will check it in the morning and if not set then I'll have to throw it away and just do a plain sugar free jelly base, without the fruit.I'm sure it'll still taste nice.

The jelly is perfectly set this morning.
