Hi i have a bag of cooking apples with a use by date of 25th November .... prob a silly question but can i still use them?? They have been in the fridge....
Thought i had only bought them a few weeks ago, must have been begining of Nov not begining of Dec lol
They look fine / normal. No discolour or wrinkles etc... Wanted to make a crumble tonight

i would. they'r ejust apples.
we have apple trees at my mum and dad's and we used to pick them all wrap them in paper and store in shed for months while we used them all up.

Throw them if they are mouldy, otherwise they are fine. Ignore sell by dates on fruit, veg, dried stuff. The tree didn't have a clock telling the apples when to go out of date. The supermarket would have stored them for ages anyway.
