What colour should figs be?

I really fancy figs and goats cheese for lunch but the ones in the local shop are orange, green and purple.

Green figs and purple figs sound normal. I don't know about orange figs.

I'll buy all three then and report back. They have the loveliest kumquats too. I might have some later with a glass of fizz!
