will it be fine or poison?

I have a load of diced lamb in my freezer which I intend to use for a curry next Sunday when all my cousins come for lunch at my house.

The Sainsbury's man will be here shortly with my Christmas order, which includes a bag of spinach for the curry. However, I suspect the hard-looking piece with too much eyeliner who picks the online orders in our Sainsbo's will have (as usual) sent spinach with a use by date of tomorrow.

Will it be OK to defrost the lamb, cook the curry (inc. spinach) and then refreeze it, or will I poison everyone?

You decide [said in poor Geordie accent to imitate announcer on Big Brother]

you could just freeze the spinach if you wanted to.

So long as the lamb is raw at the moment then it is perfectly fine to cook and refreeze.

Fine to cook and then re-freeze.

Or, just freeze the spinach.
