sorry, not a good title but couldn't phrase it properly. I have eggs to be used by 23rd, and tofu by 24th. if i use them to make tofu burgers and use the remaining eggs for some cakes tomorrow, will they be ok, even though the finished poducts will be eaten past these dates?

i would,.
eggs especially are usually fine. I have had them up to 2 weeks late, or more and they've been fine.
ditto tofu, it's all sealed up and refrigerated so should be fine

I think eggs are good for at least a week past their use-by date anyway, so I wouldn't worry about those. Not sure about tofu - I never eat it - but I don't think it would be immediately a problem, as it's not going to be as bad as meat or dairy, is it?
